This workshop is the course for professionals who need to understand the fundamentals of the emissions markets and how they operate. Introduction to Emissions Trading is a constantly changing course that reflects the current state of knowledge in the evolving emissions marketplace. Offsets

Pending legislation in the U.S. contemplates as many as two billion tons of annual offset credits, roughly split between international and domestic offsets. Offsets that are counted are described in the protocol for the specific offset program. The offsets must be credible to the offsets markets. This session discusses challenges of creating offset markets, including defining protocols and measuring GHG emissions.
